As a critic, I found the film to be a detailed and insightful look into a defining chapter of Lincoln’s life, but its slow pace may not appeal to all viewers.
6. The Ides of March 2011,IMDB Rating: 7.1, IMDB Votes: 231855, ID: 1124035 Photo by popkult.blog.hu, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 The Ides of March, directed by George Clooney, is a political drama that delves into the dirty politics of a presidential campaign. Despite its strong cast and intriguing plot, the film’s pacing and lack of emotional depth make it a rather dull watch.

Despite its stunning cinematography and compelling performances, the film’s pacing can make it a tiresome watch.
9. Avatar: The Way of Water 2022,IMDB Rating: 7.5, IMDB Votes: 503944, ID: 1630029 Photo by subfactory.fr, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 Despite its stunning visuals and philosophical depth, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is often cited for its languid pacing and abstract narrative. The narrative itself is not groundbreaking, with grief and acceptance being themes that numerous films have covered. As for presentation, the imagery often comes across as either too ambiguous or too obvious, depending on the viewer. The result is a film that is heavy on theme, yet fails to engage many viewers.
10. The Last Airbender 2010,IMDB Rating: 4.0, IMDB Votes: 175744, ID: 0938283 Photo by blogspot.com, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 ‘The Last Airbender’ is a poorly conceived, incompetently written, and sloppily made film. The narrative of the film is incomprehensible, apart from the helpful orientation that we like Katara, Sokka and Aang and are therefore against their enemies. The dialogue is couched in unspeakable quasi-medieval formalities; the characters are so portentous they seem to have been trained for grade school historical pageants.
11. Annabelle 2014,IMDB Rating: 5.4, IMDB Votes: 177132, ID: 3322940 Photo by WordPress.com, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 ‘Annabelle’ is a film that’s simultaneously underwritten and overstuffed. It has too many characters yet precious few who even come close to resembling actual human beings. The film doesn’t develop them. We learn that Annabelle was owned by a lovely young couple named Mia and John. As Mia nears her due date, the couple faces unimaginable horror in the form of a pair of Satanic cultists who break in, stab Mia in the belly, and end up dead in their home.
12. Suicide Squad 2016,IMDB Rating: 5.9, IMDB Votes: 726311, ID: 1386697 Photo by pursuit.unimelb.edu.au, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 ‘Suicide Squad’ is a film that starts with promise but disengages as it loses its creative bearings. The film is top-heavy with non-stop action, but there’s more humanity in the earlier one, and I think we care more about the hero. A film that really took this premise seriously would probably play more like Christopher Nolan’s ‘Memento’, following a man adrift in his own timeline.
13. Total Recall 2012,IMDB Rating: 6.2, IMDB Votes: 267765, ID: 1386703 Photo by popkult.blog.hu, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 ‘Total Recall’ is a film that’s muddled both visually and narratively. Often, it’s hard to tell what’s going on because so many of the huge action set pieces take place in the dark, or in the rain, or in the dark in the rain. But more fundamentally from a storytelling perspective, ‘Total Recall’ is woefully lacking in both momentum and cohesion.
14. Battle: Los Angeles 2011,IMDB Rating: 5.7, IMDB Votes: 185779, ID: 1217613 Photo by WordPress.com, is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 Despite the impressive action sequences and visual effects, ‘Battle: Los Angeles’ fails to deliver a compelling narrative. The film’s plot is thin, and the characters are underdeveloped, making it difficult for the audience to connect with the story. The movie’s attempt at creating a realistic depiction of an alien invasion is overshadowed by its overuse of shaky cam and lack of originality. While it may appeal to some action junkies, it’s generally considered one of the most boring movies ever made.

Despite the efforts to lighten the tone compared to previous entries in the franchise, the film suffers from a murky aesthetic and thin characters. Its attempt to bring together iconic superheroes in a single film was met with mixed reviews, with some critics labeling it as one of the most boring movies of recent years.
